Meraj Siddiqui (Nickname: Dalton) is an Indian filmmaker & public figure. He is the alumni of Anwar Jamal Kidwai Mass Communication Research Center, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. The bedrock of his creativity, however, is his deep spiritual strength that drives his work. The combination is a heady cocktail of technical mastery and artistic brilliance. Now a day at GraphicReel Studio, Mumbai he works as Creative Director and brings a vast set of knowledge to every project. He has also had two successful tenures as guest faculty including one at his alma mater, Jamia Millia Islamia. As a native of Darbhanga, Bihar, he took it upon himself to create a tangible entity that embodies his love for the visual medium of cinema. As a Founder and Festival Director of the Darbhanga International Film Festival, he has been heading the initiative for the past 9 years and aims to bring cinema out of its urban hubs. He is deeply passionate about the visual medium be it cinema or creating any other visual assets for brands. To further deepen his knowledge, he organises and takes an active interest in film festivals and shows. You can catch him reading up on the latest in the world of films in his spare time if he is not engrossed in a talk show. An avid traveller, his creativity finds an outlet in his stories and poetry as well.
